Wanna join my pop band, I hear noise pop is in?

A quick update to round up last months slackness. Since my solitary August post I squeezed in a few sessions and rallied towards the end of the month. I even logged a 1800+ hand session, which for me is pretty good going. In the end I only totalled a shocking 7000 hands. Volume will improve this month I swear. I’ve set a little goal of completing at least 600 hands every time I log on. Too many times I play 200 to 400 and sign off when the tables break. This month I’m going to look for new tables and keep going a little longer ~ its not like I’m losing focus at 400 hands or anything, its pure laziness. One caveat is that if I’m running like shit I’ll quit and trudge off down the off-licence.

In “Stuff & Things” news:-

• I played snooker for the first time in nearly 2 months the other night. Knocked in a 66 missing a tough brown to beat my pb of 69.

• My brother has reached the regional finals of some pub poker thingy. Its being held this Sunday in Northampton but a glance at the casino website shows they don’t run cash games on a Sunday, so I’ll be letting the little fishy go on his own.

• Child 3 has persuaded Child 4 to join his band. This has lead to me having to fork out for her to have her own bass guitar. Could it be a good investment? Check out their first demo on their myspace page: Link. Child 3 is lead guitarist btw.

• Child 6 (aged 6) feels left out and has formed his own band. Actually, its just a duo – Me and him. We rock. He plays his home made elastic band guitar and I drown him out. We’re too cool to have a myspace page though.

• One of my most visited websites Another Link launched its ‘new site’ this week after 18 months of development. It’s a crock of shite. Myself and the guys over at iCueSport - yep anther link thought about bringing out a rival to them a year or so ago. The demo site I quickly knocked up back then beats this new one hands down. It makes me cry to think there are people out there charging good money to knock up websites that a 5 year old could make. If any readers want a decent site building, hosting and maintaining for reasonable rates, give me a shout.

Finally, a belated 1st happy birthday to my blog. Over a year of posting shit ~ that’s some achievement!
